Cookie Policy
Effective date: October 30, 2026
1. About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains cookies and similar technologies used in connection with Anchor & Altitude Travel Co.'s main website, www.anchorandaltitude.com, and our linked Trip Studio. Read it together with our Privacy Policy. Contact Kevin Miilu at kevin.miilu@fora.travel with questions.
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website or service stores in your browser. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage. They can support essential website functions, remember choices, maintain a signed-in session, protect against abuse, or help a website owner understand usage. Session cookies generally expire when the session ends. Persistent cookies or local storage may remain until their expiry or until you clear them.
3. Main website: Squarespace
The main website is hosted by Squarespace. Squarespace uses necessary technologies for functions such as security, request protection, and reliable delivery. It also supports analytics and performance cookies that help measure visits and interactions. Our Squarespace cookie banner offers Accept all, Decline all, and Manage cookies. Squarespace’s non-essential cookies are restricted until you give the relevant permission. Decline all rejects non-essential cookies managed by these controls; necessary technologies remain available to operate the website. Use Cookie Preferences to review or change your saved choices. You can also use browser controls to remove previously stored cookies. These choices apply to the technologies managed by Squarespace’s controls and do not automatically govern external websites or every third-party resource.
4. Cookie categories and examples
Necessary and security technologies: support delivery of pages, protection against fraudulent requests, and other essential operations. Blocking these may affect functionality.
Analytics and performance technologies: help Squarespace measure traffic and distinguish visits and sessions. Squarespace documents examples including ss_cid, ss_cpvisit, and ss_cvr, with durations of up to two years, and ss_cvisit and ss_cvt, with durations of approximately 30 minutes. These are provider-documented examples, not a guarantee that every cookie is present on every visit. Actual use and duration depend on site features, settings, your interactions, and changes made by Squarespace.
Preference technologies: may remember cookie choices or other interface preferences when the relevant feature is enabled. For example, Squarespace documents ss_performancecookiesAllowed and ss_marketingcookiesAllowed as preference cookies lasting approximately 30 days when its consent controls are in use.

5. Trip Studio and authentication
Trip Studio is a separate linked application. OpenAI/ChatGPT and supporting hosting infrastructure use their own session and security mechanisms to sign users in and operate the service. Our custom trip planner does not add a separate advertising tracker or custom advertising cookie. Saved trip details and conversations are stored on the server, associated with the signed-in account; they are not stored as advertising cookies. A cookie choice on the main Squarespace website does not automatically control cookies on Trip Studio, OpenAI, Google, Apple, Microsoft, Fora Travel, or another provider's domain. Review each provider's own notices and controls.
6. External websites and embedded services
Following links to Fora’s travel inquiry form, Viator, cruise lines, hotels, Facebook, a sign-in provider, or another external service takes you to a service with its own cookie and privacy practices. Our Viator booking link includes advisor and affiliate referral identifiers. Viator and its partners may use these identifiers, cookies, or similar technologies on their services to attribute visits and eligible bookings. Referral identifiers in a link are different from cookies stored in your browser. A normal outbound link does not itself mean that the destination’s cookies are installed on this website. Cookie choices on our main website do not control tracking on another provider’s domain. Services embedded or added to the website in the future may use additional technologies; we will update this policy when relevant. Third-party resource providers, such as content delivery or font services, may also receive technical request information when resources load, even where no cookie is used.
7. Your choices
Most browsers let you view, block, restrict, or delete cookies and website storage through their privacy settings. Consult your browser's help resources for current instructions. Clearing cookies can sign you out, remove remembered choices, and require you to repeat preference selections. Blocking necessary cookies can affect sign-in or website functions. Choices may need to be made separately on each browser and device. If our website displays cookie preference controls, those controls apply to the technologies and providers they actually manage; they may not govern every third-party resource or an external website.
8. Updates and contact
Cookie technologies, providers, and settings can change. We update this policy when appropriate and revise the effective date. For questions or privacy requests, contact Kevin Miilu, Anchor & Altitude Travel Co., at kevin.miilu@fora.travel or 214-893-0241.
