Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 30, 2026
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
Anchor & Altitude Travel Co. is the independent travel advisory business operated by Kevin Miilu, affiliated with Fora Travel. This policy explains how we handle personal information in connection with www.anchorandaltitude.com, our linked Trip Studio, and travel inquiries and planning services. Contact: kevin.miilu@fora.travel or 214-893-0241.
2. Information you provide
When you contact us or use our planning tools, we may receive your name, email address, telephone number, destinations, approximate travel dates, departure city, traveler counts, budget, travel preferences, itinerary ideas, and correspondence. Trip Studio stores the trip details and notes you choose to save, together with account identifiers, your name and email address, trip status, and creation and update times. You may choose to share accessibility or other special requirements relevant to your trip. Please provide only what is needed. Do not enter passport numbers, payment card details, account passwords, or sensitive documents in ordinary inquiry fields or Trip Studio notes. Booking providers may request additional information through their own secure processes. Our linked travel inquiry form is hosted by Fora Travel. Information you submit through that form is processed by Fora and made available to us to respond to your request and plan your travel; Fora’s own privacy notice also applies.
3. Information collected through the website
Our hosting and technology providers may collect technical information such as IP address, browser and device information, pages visited, referring pages, approximate location derived from IP address, timestamps, and interactions with the site. Squarespace provides website hosting and analytics for the main website. Cookies and similar technologies are described in our separate Cookie Policy. Third-party content delivery and font services may receive technical request information when page resources load.
4. How we use information
We use information to respond to inquiries; understand travel interests and budgets; research and coordinate requested travel; create, maintain, and collaborate on trip plans; communicate about recommendations and arrangements; maintain business records; protect accounts and services; troubleshoot technical issues; and meet applicable legal obligations. If you request optional promotional communications, we use your contact details for that purpose and provide a way to opt out. Choosing not to receive promotions does not prevent necessary service communications. Service communications may include inquiry acknowledgments, trip updates, and notifications about planning messages. Our communications providers process the contact details and message information needed to deliver these communications.
5. Trip Studio and sign-in
Trip Studio uses Sign in with ChatGPT. The sign-in provider supplies an account identifier and basic profile information, including name and email address, to establish your session. Trip records are associated with that account identifier. A client can access trips created under their account; Kevin, as the advisor, can review and update saved trips and exchange notes. Trip details are not presented as a public directory or shared with unrelated clients. Sign-in does not give us access to your ChatGPT conversation history. Notes in Trip Studio are shared planning records; they are not a substitute for urgent communications or a confirmed booking. Use the same account when returning to your saved trips.
6. When information is disclosed
We disclose information as needed to technology providers that support hosting, storage, authentication, communications, and website operations; Fora Travel and travel suppliers or booking partners when needed for arrangements you request; professional advisers where needed for our business; and authorities or other parties when legally required or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or security. We may also disclose information with your direction or consent. Our main website is hosted by Squarespace; Trip Studio uses OpenAI/ChatGPT sign-in and hosting services and Cloudflare infrastructure. These providers also process certain information under their own privacy policies. We limit information used for a travel arrangement to what is relevant to that request.
7. External services and links
Links to Fora Travel, Viator, cruise lines, hotels, social media, sign-in providers, and other external websites lead to services with their own privacy and cookie practices. Some booking links contain advisor or affiliate referral identifiers, including our Viator link, so the provider can attribute a referral or eligible booking to us or Fora. We may earn commission on eligible bookings. The provider may process referral identifiers, technical information, and booking activity under its own policies. Following a link does not automatically give us access to everything you enter on that provider’s website. Their policies apply to information they collect independently. A link does not mean their practices are identical to ours. Review the provider's policy before entering booking or payment information. Relevant provider policies include Squarespace at https://www.squarespace.com/privacy and OpenAI at https://openai.com/policies/privacy-policy/.
8. Retention
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected, ongoing trip planning and follow-up, legitimate business records, legal and accounting requirements, and the handling of disputes. The appropriate period depends on the information and circumstances. Saved Trip Studio records remain available unless removed through an authorized request or administrative process. Contact us to request deletion of a trip or account-associated planning information. Some records may need to be retained for legal obligations or legitimate claims, and backups may persist for a limited period under provider retention processes.
9. Your choices and requests
You may contact kevin.miilu@fora.travel to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your information, to ask for a copy where applicable, or to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Depending on your location and applicable law, you may also have rights to restrict or object to processing, obtain portable information, opt out of certain uses, or appeal a request decision. We may need to verify your identity and authority before responding and will handle requests within the time required by applicable law. If a request is declined, you may reply to request reconsideration or an appeal where available. You may also contact a competent privacy regulator where applicable. You can edit many trip details directly in Trip Studio. Cookie choices and browser controls are described in the Cookie Policy.
10. International processing and legal grounds
Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where our providers operate. Privacy laws in those countries may differ from those where you live. Where applicable law requires a lawful basis, our processing is based on responding to your request or providing agreed services, legitimate business and security interests, legal obligations, or your consent, as appropriate. Where consent is required, it may be withdrawn for future processing. We and our providers use applicable legal mechanisms for international transfers when required.
11. Security
We use reasonable measures and provider access controls intended to protect information. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Protect your sign-in account, use trusted devices, and contact us if you believe your planning information has been accessed without authorization. Do not send payment credentials or identity documents through ordinary website messages.
12. Children and information about other travelers
Our inquiry and account tools are intended for adults arranging travel. We do not knowingly invite children under 13 to create accounts or submit information directly. Adults may provide information about children or other travelers when needed for a requested trip and should have appropriate authority or consent to do so. Contact us if a child has submitted information directly so we can review and address it.
13. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as our services or practices change. The effective date above identifies the latest version. Material changes will be communicated as required by applicable law. For privacy questions or requests, contact Kevin Miilu, Anchor & Altitude Travel Co., at kevin.miilu@fora.travel or 214-893-0241.
